What are you gonna tell her?
animation
This frame-by-frame animation is in response to Mickey Guyton's song 'What Are You Gonna Tell Her?' from the album Bridges.
Through the song, Guyton addresses the various injustices faced by women, through the lens of a parent trying to explain these injustices to an innocent child. This child will one day be a parent, and the cycle will go on and on. I view 'growing up' as an abstracted loop, almost as though one is trying to escape the maze of childhood.
